Some one told me that the deer here arnt moving because its to warm its like 50 out here. Is it true or what?Missouri Deer bowhunting?
One problem, besides the weather, is the fact that crops are still in the fields. This matters if you hunt in an agricultural area of Missouri. The crazy weather has caused a lot of us to plant later this year, extending the harvest. Plus, the rain has been keeping us out of the fields around here.
Also, 50 degrees is still warm for deer. Two mornings ago it was 31 degrees and I saw more deer movement than usual. It has to get cold for them to feel the need to move around in search of more food. The rut will start soon so they should be moving more soon. They are making scrapes and rubs pretty heavy now.Missouri Deer bowhunting?
Seasons been open since Sept. 15th... they're moving but it also depends on the amount of pressure they're getting from hunters. In my part of the state (NW) they are everywhere and just looking to get poked.
