How do you use a deer call?

thrust it apon your wet lips. and just blowHow do you use a deer call?
A real hunter - an AVID hunter - showed me something day before yesterday.

Buy old antlers at a junk store

and as you stand out in the woods,

keep hitting them and rubbing

them together.

The deer in the area hear it and

think two bucks are fighting over a

doe and they come to see what

is going on - or check out the female. How do you use a deer call?
Go to Academy or WalMart and get a video. This is the best way to learn how to use a call. Nobody can explain how to use the call because there are too many situations to consider when that big buck comes out and he's out of range and you want to get him closer to you or stop him. Factors are, the Rut, weather, wind, terrain, etc...
ok,,i have called in some nice bucks in this manner,, at about 8'30 to 9 am give 2 short grunts,,wait 15 min and repeat ,,, be sure to keep your eyes open,, if you have not saw any i will move stalking or still hunt ,,very slowly,, grunting every 25 yds,,,cover a 100 yds stop and give the area a good look,,at this time get a little more agressive with the grunting as in 3-5 grunts rapidly,,,make some noise as if 2 buck were fighting grunt 5-6 times ,, this works and always keep a good look out as the buck will be looking for the action,, good luck this work here in east tn,
If the dents on my hunting truck are any indication the button that runs my horn is a good deer call. Especially when I am driving 55 mph down the highway.

Seriously... The best way is to buy a video or cd on the subject. Thats how I learned turkey calling.
