Anything sweet like apples or other fruit they have become accustomed to, the benefit is it's not legal to bait deer in some places so you eat some of the apple and just happen to throw it out there, accidental like.....especially upwind of the trail they normally trod, plus the apple scent covers your breath, (often the deer smells you long before they see or hear you).What kind fruit is good t atrack black tail deer??
