A handgun to hunt whitetail deer?

what cal and brand/model would you say to get to hunt whitetail also what would the range on oneA handgun to hunt whitetail deer?
If you are a real pistolero and know to limit your range and shooting conditions, you can use a .357 Magnum.

A much better choice would be a Ruger Blackhawk in .41 Magnum, or .45 Long Colt, or a Super Blackhawk in .44 RemMag. If you are a hardcore double-action man, Ruger Redhawks and Super Redhawks can be had in the same chamberings.

I personally use a Glock 20 with full power 10mm 165gr Golden Sabre JHPs from DoubleTap (1425fps/ 744ft.lbs.@ muzzle; 1175fps/506ft lbs @ 100yds) for deer hunting and as a backup protection against an accidental encounter with a bear in the mountains of Western Maryland. I am accurate enough to take a shot out to 50 yards confidently, beyond that I should be able to use my rifle.

It holds 15+1 rounds for plenty of firepower if that previously mentioned bear has the wrong disposition. Good luck getting that many rounds off as quickly with a revolver.
The 357 Magnum using 158 grain jacketed hollow points or semi- jacketed hollow point bullets.* Smith %26amp; Wesson or Ruger Brand Revolver with a 4 or 6 inch barrel.* Maximum range 60 yards.*
i wood say the best one wood a s%26amp;w .357 it powerful and i wood say the range on one wood be about 75 yards on a average shooter 100 to 125 if your a expert shooter.
A Glock 20 (10mm) is accurate and more than enough to drop a large deer out to 100 yards depending mainly on the shooters abilities.
Any 10mm Glock pistol with JHP ammo or a Ruger .44 magnum revolver will take down a deer up to 100 yards away with great effectiveness.
You'll want a revolver, preferably a single-action, in either 41 or 44 Magnum. Ruger Blackhawk would be an easy choice. You may be a better shot than me: I keep my shots down to about 50 yards.
get a good revolver and use buffalo bores

ive used a .45 with buffalo bores to take down a 8pt here in PA
A 44mag would be a good choice for out to 100 yards.
