I could use some help as in what brand is best for like 4x24 power scopes or 4-16 i just want a power more than 9 sometimes it dosent work out. i also want some clearness so i can count spikesGood Scope for Deer at like 100-600 yards?
Since you are wanting to be able to see detail to count spikes, you are going to want some power because you are wanting to do more than place your cross hair into a 1 MOA target area - kill zone.
In the Leupold line, you can look at the 6.5-20x-50 LRT scope or the 8.25-25x-50 LRT scope which also come with the M1 turrets for making elevation adjustments in the field. If you want more, you will probably need to take a look at a Nightforce Scope like an 8-32x-56 NXS.
You should also invest in a good range finder (I use a leica 1200) since you want to do more than guess about range to avoid wounding an animal. Carry with you a good ballistic chart based on your actual velocity and learn to read the wind since you will see that as a factor when taking shots at 600 yards.Good Scope for Deer at like 100-600 yards?
I can personally recommend anything with the name Leupold, Zeiss and Swarovski on it because I believe they are quality built across all lines of products. I cannot say the same about other brands, even the ones we would all recognize. Some brands make poor quality scopes at the lower end of the price range and good quality ones at the mid to upper end. So, be careful because as far as optics go, you usually get what you pay for. I would be more apt to purchase a bargain rifle so as not to skimp on the optics. On a personal note, it takes a lot of practice and skill to hit a deer at 600 yards. I have hunted deer my whole life and am an above average shot with a rifle and I would consider myself unethical to shoot at a deer beyond 350 yards. But that's just me.
If you cannot hunt with 9 power or less , then you shouldn't be hunting. The fact that you asked this question, tells me you have no business shooting at 600 yards. Just buy the best scope you can afford and practice at more reasonable ranges, which would be under 200 yards. 99% of the people who deer hunt have no business shooting past that range anyway, regardless of the fact they all think they are snipers.
Best scope in my world right now is a Leupold 4-12x. Any higher magnification I would have to set on a tripod to keep my eyes from going batty. In the field I usually leave it on 6x but its nice to have the extra power just in case, especially if I have time to set up a longer shot from a solid rest. But I would prefer not to shoot past 300 yards or so anyway.
Many may disagree but you should avoid trying to take deer at ranges to 600 yards.... Its too far, many bullets lose a lot of energy by the time it makes it that distance - its to far of a walk.....
Use a 4-14x40MM and hunt deer at ranges under 200 yards......

4-16X50 is very good. Go with a Leupold, Nikon or Bushnell. Clear optics and great prices from all three brands.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
Lepould or Nikon are two very good brands. So is swarovski optik. Prepare to open your wallet wide... But a wise man said to get a cheaper rifle with a top notch scope.
